Minecraft Map is an Amazing Cityscape 25 Years in The Making

A Minecraft map can be basically whatever you want it to be. One of the best aspects of sandbox gaming is the freedom it provides to design incredible Minecraft builds, or just to spend many hours mining every single block.

Due to a combination of the playground it offers and the players' creativity, we regularly get to see amazing things. Certain projects are more difficult than others, and for this one we're looking at an Minecraft city that took 2,400 hours to build over 2.5 years. This isn't the first time that the Minecraft map has been shared on Reddit. The last time was in July 2021. "Since my last post, the city has almost doubled in size. The built-up area is roughly 11 sq km, around 30 when you take in all the roads, and 40-50sq km if you add the land that has been cleared." You can watch a video that shows the city below from the Redditor's own account.

It's almost like feeling Minecraft struggling to launch all the details and buildings as the player flies around. Roads are also marked with markers. There is even an area that appears like an electric grid. There are apparently over 2,000 buildings within the city as well. It would make for a fantastic hide-and-seek map however, there's no download for it as of yet.
