Minecraft 1.17 is a major update that adds a lot of diverse content to the game. You will see new world generation patterns that make use of blocks from this update. You will also find new sea mobs, and unique items that enhance interaction with the cubic universe.

Update title: Caves & Cliffs.

The snapshots have not been released yet, as the update has not yet been completed! This means that the pre-release content will be richer. Below are the changes that have been made to the snapshots. Block of Amethyst

This block is generated in caves, more precisely in amethyst geodes. It can be obtained in the form a block, not like the budding amethyst. You can also make an amethyst-block by using 4 amethyst fragments. The block of amethyst belongs to the category of building blocks.

Budding Amethyst

It is a block made in amethyst gedes. The buds are gradually produced on a budding amethyst. This block is not mineable, even with a tool that has Silk Touch. A budding amethyst is not easily broken. The budding amethyst belongs to the category of building blocks.

Amethyst Buds

They are small amethyst crystals that sprout on budding amethyst blocks. They can be one of three sizes: small, medium, and large. They grow slowly, from small to medium to large. Eventually, after the appearance of a large bud on a budding amethyst block, it gradually grows into an amethyst cluster. An amethyst bud can grow either up or sideways on an amethyst blocks. You can get an amethyst bud only with a tool enchanted with Silk Touch. The amethyst bud belongs to the category of decorative blocks.

Amethyst Cluster

This block is the end result of large amethyst buds' growth. Clusters emit light unlike amethyst bud buds. An amethyst cluster can grow up and down on an amethyst-block. When mining an amethyst-colored cluster, it will drop amethyst fragments that can be used to make an amethyst blocks. An intact amethyst Cluster will drop if you break it with a tool with Silk Touch enchantment.

Deepslate

This block was created in deep caves. It has a variety texture and can be used as an average stone.

Calcite

It is a transparent stone with a pearly-white texture. Calcite is a middle layer of amethyst Geodes.

Tuff

A stone that has a dark gray texture and is generated in deep caves. This block is located near amethyst gedes. It can change its texture depending upon where it's placed. Tuff is a building block.

This ore is generated at approximately the same level as iron ore and in similar quantities. When smelting, a copper ingot is obtained, from which some kinds of copper blocks are crafted.

Copper Blocks

One type of copper block is one that can be made from 4 copper ingots. Besides, the ingots can also be returned to the block. The block of copper can be used to cut copper blocks, from which you can create stairs and slabs. All copper blocks are oxidized with time, altering their texture. To prevent this, you need to craft a copper block with a honeycomb. Minecraft servers

Pointed Dripstone

It is formed in caves and can grow on both the lower and upper sides of a block. If there is no block on the upper end of a block, it will be destroyed. However, if a creature is above it, then the latter receives damage. This level is dependent on the height of a dripstone.

Dripstone Block

It is made from 4 pointed dripstones and was found in caves. Dripstone blocks are decorative.

Powder Snow

This new snow has a similar texture to the old, but any creature can sink through it. The character won't sink through powder snow if they are wearing leather shoes. However, if the character is sitting down, even those with leather shoes, it will sink through. Powder snow can be collected with a bucket. If you remain in the powder snow for too long, the frost effect will appear on the screen and players or mobs will begin to take damage. Skeletons that are trapped in the powder snow will eventually become strays.

Sculk Sensor

This block can only be obtained in the creative mode. It cannot be crafted at this time. It can be used to make certain mechanisms and as a redstone block.

Tinted Glass

This is a new type of glass that blocks light. It is made of 4 amethyst pieces and a glass block. Tinted glass can be extracted by dropping the block. This is unlike ordinary glass where a tool with Silk Touch is required.

Glow Lichen

It is found in various caves, but rarely; it emits light. You cannot climb on glowlichen, unlike vine. You can obtain it with scissors.

Candle

A candle is made out of honeycomb, string and other materials. To get a candle to burn, you must light it with a flint or steel. You can re-paint a candle in any color you like. You can place up to 4 candles in one block. They must however be the same colour.

New Items

Amethyst Shard

It is extracted from amethyst clusters: when processing 1 cluster, one amethyst shard is dropped; to increase the number of shards, you will need a pickaxe with the fortune enchantment. It is used to create tinted glass and spyglass.

Spyglass

It is made from two copper ingots, one amethyst fragment, and can be used to zoom in on objects at a distance.

Bundle

It is created from two strings and six rabbit hides and used as an additional source of extra item storage cells.

Almost the same as a usual squid, but it glows - right now, they cannot be encountered, only accessed to in the creative mode. When dying, glow squid drop glowing ink sacs.

It can be white, pink or yellow, as well as brown or blue. It is a passive animal that can be captured with a bucket. Their primary target is squid. Axolotls can be bred by eating tropical fish.

Amethyst Geode

It is a small, hidden structure in caves. Its shape is similar to that of a circle. It is made of amethyst blocks that are both regular and budding.

Deep Cave

It is an underground cave of immense size, made up of deepslate and basalt. You can also find some ores there.

Ore Improvements

All ores have changed in appearance. The new types of ores are introduced, or rather, ones that contain deepslate instead of cobblestone; they can be found in caves consisting of deepslate. There are five types of deep ore: iron, gold lapis lazuli redstone, diamond, and lapis li. Ordinary ingots can be obtained by smelting.
