Minecraft is a sandbox game that means it's all about options. You can make incredible builds or attempt to complete crazy challenges, or simply relax with your pals. This also means that there are lots of players making incredible Minecraft mods to mess around with and today we're bringing you a mod that's only a few months in its development, but is amazing.

Morica_, a Redditor is developing an application that allows magic spells to be added to Minecraft. Even though the plugin is in its infancy, there's a lot to it. Different spells react differently based on what they hit. There are a few options for spells available however, the majority of them are based on explosions and fire currently. The final spell is especially impressive, as it just blasts a chunk of the world and leaves chaos in its wake.

If you like the sound of this you can play with the EpicSpellsPlugin available on Github and launch it in Spigot. Spigot, which is a specific type of server, lets users to use these plugins and play around with the core game to a lesser extent. If you have never used one, now is the time to get familiar with it.

Be aware that this plugin is very early in its development, and therefore you cannot cast spells using commands at the moment. Morica_ is seeking other people to assist in the development of it too, just in case you're savvy enough to be able to perform this kind of thing and have the time to work it in. Otherwise, we'd recommend testing the demo first and keep an eye on it because Minecraft and magic feel like the perfect match.
