We hope you're not too dependent on either of the Minecraft Java and Bedrock editions of one of the most popular building games for PC because Microsoft and Mojang have confirmed that both will be shut down on June 7 and will be replaced by Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition, so you don't have to use them separately anymore.

If you're not a fan of the phenomenal Sandbox game, you might be a bit confused by the fact that there are two versions of Minecraft on PC that are the Java and Bedrock versions. PCGamesN offers a helpful guide to help you understand the differences between the two versions. If you have purchased one, you won't be able to get access to the other. This is a bit crazy.

Mojang and Microsoft are in complete agreement as they have announced (thanks to Neowin) the Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. This single-purchase edition of Minecraft on PC replaces the separate editions. It will go on sale June 7 and will become "the standard and only offering of the vanilla Minecraft on Windows PC."

Anyone with either the Java or Bedrock editions of Minecraft will be upgraded to the combined edition. The upgrade is automatic, but it may take up to three days for all players eligible to see the game. MINECRAFT SERVERS

Mojang confirms that "Java and Bedrock will remain separate games with distinct features," with the only difference is that you don't need to purchase them separately and can access both from the same Minecraft launcher. It's a good thing for everyone except for those who has recently purchased both separately. It will make the downloading of Minecraft much easier.
