Minecraft Getting Ingame Name Changes Pocket Edition Sells 30 Million

Minecraft players will be able to change their name in the game soon the developer studio Mojang has announced. The process is scheduled to go live on February 4 and appears to be fairly simple; Once the name-changing system has been put in place, players will be able to change their in-game name simply by accessing their account. Any name that is not being used by other players will be available however, players will need to wait for 30 days before they can change their name again. Offtopichut



You don't need to worry about someone else taking your name. It takes 37 days for an older name to become available to someone else. Mojang also announced that to date, Minecraft: Pocket Edition has sold a combined total of more than 30 million copies. Pocket Edition sold 21 million copies in April, and was extended to Windows Phone users in December. Mojang hasn't revealed the number of new sales, however Mojang did say that Pocket Edition had sold 9 million copies more due to its release on a new platform. [Image: Mojang]
