Minecraft Fixed Multiplayer Is Deactivated Please Check Your Microsoft Account Settings

Side note: I love his laptop signing into a Microsoft account. Minecraft servers Microsoft has done a great job in family management. I can track his screen time and many other great features parents are looking for without the need of any third-party programs.



When he tried playing Minecraft multiplayer on one his friend's servers, the problem began. The multiplayer option was greyed and instead, the message in the above image was displayed "Multiplayer is disabled. "Cause": Please check your Microsoft Account Settings.



Solution



- Browse to Family Safety portal https://account.microsoft.com/family and login with a family organisers (parents) account.- Towards the bottom click "Manage my family's Xbox online settings"



- Click on the left to select "Privacy, online safety"- Choose the account that can't use online games- Select "Xbox One/Windows 10 On-line Safety"



- Click Submit at the bottom of the permissions list to set "Join multiplayer gaming" to Allow



Close and reopen Minecraft. You're done
