Launcher Installer Stuck

I downloaded MC from the official website and when I try to launch the Launcher Installer it opens and says "Making things awesome" and the progress bar doesn't move. I've tried closing it, then opening it again. I've also tried deleting it and downloading Minecraft from the official website. If that doesn't work, I'm trying Java edition.

The latest launcher (released on November 2) has not been resolved for a number of players.

To avoid the upgrade nag, right-click on the old launcher shortcut to change compatibility to Windows 8 under the Compatibility tab.

PSPlease scroll down the link and you'll see the option to download launcher for windows 7/8 , and downloads are available from there. I am dumb, i repeatedly downloaded windows 10/11 and again.
