1.2 fire engine fits the 999cc fire block but you have ti change the pulleys over as the modern 1.2 engine uses a multi V belt. You should be able to get half a turn on the belt over the longets point(between the waterpump and the camshaft pully. I dont have a bulkhead though which means its cold in the winter even with the heater on but at least when the back door broke I could climb through remove the trim and open the doors up. If you carefully remove this with a small screwdriver theres a 10mm bolt behind it. Search the forum and see if you find the thread. Pushed it up from below using a thin flat screwdriver then was able to slide the handle off the shaft. All done The tiny little metal clip that hold the inner handle on aktualne the shaft had me going for i little while though. Youll need to remove the plastic door trim for access. Theres a square plastic insert on the door handle itself. There are tips posted but you need to open it from the inside and remove the handle opener and cover.



Youve already found the two allen bolts under the handle remove those. Lever out the switches from the front edge then undo the bolt. Hi Scott locks usually seize up as keys not used due to baz locking if you can remove handle sit it flat so you can fill it with freeing oil and leave to soakgently work the key inout and try to turn they do get very seized If you sort out central locking it wont matter as will lockunlock with that. It was an allen head bolt which had fallen out of the back of the handle when my doors stopped working. The resistance on the belt the alternator provides when charging will go up with a higher output alternator when requiring this extra load so I would expect it to drop the revs more perhaps 300 instead of 200 RPM at a guess. With just the carrier fitted it is difficult to open the tailgate as the struts cannot handle the weight ( fiat & Perrys say the struts are fine & designed to just handle the weight of tailgate) so accessing the boot is a pain. Id lock the doors & theyd all unlock within seconds straight after locking. Probably the one that comes from the handle has detached it self from the box (means you will have to replace the whole box with wires) and cannot apply pressure to open the door. New aux belt. WD 40 on the linkages may do the trick otherwise its a look push pull and twist at the mechanisms. The central locking has probably been disconnected from the actuator in passenger rear door.
